Welcome to Beautiful British Columbia. The most corrupt province in the country.

Why is it that the RCMP will arrest Hells angles and their associates for drug trafficking in every b]province except for British Colombia? Why do they give Wolf Pack associates police protection to sell drugs? Are they really surprised we want to get rid of the RCMP in surrey? If you did your job like they are doing in other provinces we wouldn’t of had to disband your criminal culpability.

We aren’t the only ones who questions corruption in B.C. this Province is a MESS of corruption. To people who don’t know…..Victoria is the capital of B.C. and Saanich where Lindsay was murdered is a suburb of Victoria. Victoria is where the Provincial government governs the Province from. We need to keep the heat on the government in hopes we can get Lindsay’s unsolved murder put in the hands of more compete police.
Those quotes were taken from gangstersout blog which is very interesting to follow

  2. Following says:

I wasnt sure that JZ was facing the direction of the house or was looking in his rear view mirror.

  3. Chjustice says:

    These are the people responsible:
Rianne Gracia was the liaison at ReMax who set her up. Leopoldo Fernando Rojo Beltran was the knife man, and Hermila Beltran was the blond woman.

    • Robin says:

Rianne Gracia? I don’t think so. This was Shirley Zailo’s Remax and she would have known everything Lindsay had done at the office and who she had dealt with at the time. SZ had access to everything very easily. She had way more motive than Rianne Gracia. Rianne was probably scared shitless of SZ because she would have known she had been poking around in Lindsay’s business. Rianne would have put 2 and 2 together and known just how evil SZ was.
How are you so sure of the other 2? You seem very sure of that ChJustice.

    • Svetlana says:

What would Rianne have gotten out of this?

      • Chjustice says:

Rianne Gracia didn’t know what exactly she was getting into. All she did was provide phone numbers, property locations and etc. After the murder she abruptly resigned, and has refused to cooperate with investigators.
I’d love to be wrong..she could prove me wrong.

        • Retired Detective says:

How do you know she refused to cooperate? I heard exactly the opposite. Did Rianne tell you that Herself or did Cocaine Chris give you insider information? Stop with the bullshit. It is not helping anyone when people post suppositions as truth here. It makes us look like a bunch of buffoons.

  4. M&M says:

Did her ex know she wanted him back? Did they check her ex boyfriend new girlfriend? Did her ex new girlfriend have blonde hair? Did she know about Lindsey? I think it was Jason but now the ex. In a picture on a site showed her with Jason and his friend Jason doesn’t look happy at all his friend looks sly, sneaky.

  5. Tony says:

I just saw the Dateline report on this case. I did them briefly look at couple of items online regarding this as well. My take is that Jason (current boyfriend) or Jason’s mother or possibly both arranged this. It was well planned, no robbery Involved (discounts a crime of opportunity). No one would go these lengths to rob a 25 year old real estate agent. Four particular items really lead me to my conclusion. 1.) While otherwise cooperative, he has refused to submitting his DNA. Especially, as he had his own witness with him he didn’t himself commit the murder, why not? 2.) The one girlfriend says in one of the articles that she was called by a woman with a strange accent, the person hangs up. Tried to call the woman back , and after many attempts finally someone answers – it was Jason’s mother. Mother denies this ever happened. 3.) Mother was the only person to try to put possible blame on the ex-boyfriend. 4.) Her friends verify Lindsay’s father’s account that she both was thinking about dumping Jason AND also saying she was interested in getting back together with the ex-boyfriend. I will say though, even though it’d be odd, that the mother had it done without the son’s knowledge, maybe “looking out for her baby.”

    • Svetlana says:

It was not for “looking out for her baby” otherwise she would’ve done same to other ex’s, no? Saanich police have all the evidence in the world and they are sitting on it like lazy bums. This is despicable. Throw that family in jail NOW!

    • Retired Dick says:

Tony, you are correct, these are red flags that can’t be explained away. Either you have to believe the Zailos are lying or everyone else is lying. Maybe everyone else had a meeting the day after Lindsay was murdered to get their stories in line (impossible). What really bothers me is that the SP doesn’t give any credence to what her friends and family told them even though collectively it is the same. There were two women who received phone calls from a woman with a strange accent. One was Lindsay’s friend and the other was Jason’s ex. The call to Jason’s ex was about real estate. I don’t believe these women got together and made up the stories and the odds are astronomically against a coincidence that they did it independently.

The question this brings us to is why have the Zailos been cleared when there are so many red flags? If the SP is worried that the things we post here are going to make it hard for them to convict someone (BS). Isn’t the fact they cleared the Zailos going to
Make it difficult to convict them? A polygraph does not override these red flags. If the SP is willing to throw aside these red flags because of a polygraph, they are not qualified to run a murder investigation.

      • Just A Canadian Citizen says:

I now believe all of the “evidence” out there from the SPD is total BS, How do we know they had lunch at sauce? Where is the camera evidence? How do we know Lindsay went home to change? Camera evidence from sauce and the crime scene photos? How does anyone know that there were witnesses outside the house that saw someone that looked like Linday shake hands with the prospective buyers? Where is the proof that anyone took and passed a polygraph? All of the info out there is from the SPD and I don’t believe any of it.

        • Reason says:

On Feb 2nd, at 5:20 pm, take a look outside and see how far you can clearly see. It is pretty dark and visibility is poor. There is no way anyone could identify anyone at that time of day. The only person who got a good look was Jason when he drove up and shown his headlights in the killers as they were attempting to flee through the front door. If he gave a false description, it looks a lot like Shirley. Diane Downs have a description of herself. I am shocked by the elementary school quality of the police artist’s drawing. Seriously?

        • Svetlana says:

If they were real “witnesses” then wouldn’t the right thing to do be to contact Jeff? To tell him what they saw with their own eyes?

          • Justice says:

The SP threatened all witnesses not to talk to anyone including Lindsay’s family. People don’t usually keep quiet for this long though. Was there a threat made by police?

    • Wyatt says:

I didn’t read anything about Lindsay “wanting” to “get back” with EX. She stated she “missed” the relationship and the EX as a person, that doesn’t equate to wanting to get back together. I think you’re incorrect in this position, but agree generally with your other observations.

    • Chjustice says:

You all are not only barking up the wrong tree, but the tree you all are barking at is located in a completely different forest.

  6. Kelly Hoskins says:

Can her father not push for a higher authority to look over this case? I’m from the US & if our local departments are corrupt or just will not do their job & are to afraid of the wealthy business in the town the family’s can take it a lot further than the local police! That boyfriends story is just that, a story! The police seem to not want to press this case in any way & its most likely because their pockets are getting stacked along with lots of others. The bf’s family had something to do with this & he knew it was going to happen! If I was scared to go to and appointment I would call my bf to go also. So why did he wait so long, why did he so conveniently take a friend, why wait with his car parked facing away, why not go straight to the door when he saw a man run back in? I’ve got so many questions to ask him! Her family should get some kind of closure instead of being ignored.. Anyine can pass a polygraph! Why did they rule he & his family out as suspects? Just because you pass a polygraph don’t mean you did not have anything to do with the murder of that beautiful woman..

    • ConnectTheDots says:

” Why did they rule he & his family out as suspects? Just because you pass a polygraph don’t mean you did not have anything to do with the murder of that beautiful woman..”

This is the question that we all need to be asking.

      • Just A Canadian Citizen says:

How does anyone know they ever had a polograph?

        • Wyatt says:

          Exactly.
The Satanic Police just make it up as they go along.
Besides, competent investigators NEVER exclude/include suspects based on a tool that is inadmissible in court and extremely fallible. That’s probably 101 in detective school. But then again, highly unlikely that cocaine, dirty pig Horsefly, has ever attended ANY education related to being a police officer. Ever wonder how much shame his kids and wife must carry around? I would sure be ashamed of my spouse or parent if they were involved with the drug-thugs and murder. The ultimate role of bad parenting and then to be a “representative” of the police force. Wow. Doesn’t get any more dirty than that. Poor kids.

    • Svetlana says:

In Canada, everything takes years. We must write to the prime minister Trudeau and see why he is so scared of the Saanich police. If you can’t go to your own leader, then who can you go to? write to him justin.trudeau@parl.gc.ca or to his liberal party assistance@liberal.ca

    • anon says:

I agree with your statements that a higher authority needs to get involved. The police have access to great technology. What is withheld from them? A glaring headline from Time Magazines Top 10 Headlines from 2007 rings in my mind about the Mortgage Crisis. That started in 2007 and affected people world wide. Jason Zailo was working as a Mortgage broker at the time along with his friends. 2008 was the fallout, but it all started in 2007. Other news worthy in 2007: Virginia Tech Massacre, iPhone mania and Brazil’s big oil find. News worthy in 2008: OJ Simpson finally going to prison for robbery (not murder), Caylee Anthony goes missing (remember that one where her mom and grandparents basically said “ida know?” Here’s one from Manitoba: 22 Tim McLean was stabbed to death by 40 year old Vince Lee. On a Greyhound bus in Canada. Now if I were to pick one headline just one from 2007 or 2008 that had to do with Lindsay’s murder, I would say “Mortgage Crisis”. DeSousa had to have been underwater there at his development. You can bet your smokey glass on it.

      • anon says:

I’m amending my earlier statement to say- there have been some speculation and rumors that LIndsay was a victim of mistaken identity but that’s always been leaning towards the BC Rail drug scandal. What is Lindsay was a victim of mistaken identity in a mortgage money scandal? One that involved Jason either directly or indirectly? Perhaps a mortgage was turned down? Maybe the address of that mortgage was not 1702 but 333? The couple pretending to Mexican can also be a clue- I would wonder if Jasons friends were promising mortgage miracles (not unusual for a sup prime lending institution) but then the applicants that killed Lindsay were such a bad risk even Jasons friends could not deliver? Here’s an idea that marries both the BC Rail drug money and mortgage crisis. Money was not going direct for home purchasing – too easy to find or discover by authorities. What if, before the home was purchased, the money laundering came through the mortgage lending so it would be much harder to trace? BC Rail drug money goes in a mortgage at the other end comes out and a home is purchased. However, during that period, since it’s a huge ponzi and laundering scheme, money that was put in to the “drug money eco system” and expected to come out the other side through Jasons mortgage employer contacts. That never happens because BC Rail players have already been arrested so Jasons team (and maybe even him?) think they should hold back on any new mortgage lending until the key players are either released or convicted. A BC Rail player is pissed that they can’t get money out that they helped put in. Maybe that amount is $333,000? Here’s a profile of that specific killer:
        1) was involved in BC rail scandal
        2) did know Lindsay and or Jason
        3) tried (applied) to get mortgage money between November 2007 and February 2008
        4) Their mortgage application was turned down.
How could they get their own money back now? If your head (drug people) get arrested, all monies go on lock down.
The higher authority I would use to look into this (besides God) would be whomever controls mortgage lending investigations in Canada. They could do their own investigation, don’t need permission from the police but could dig for the necessary information to provide to police for an arrest. All mortgages, even sub prime have to go through a financial ecosystem and applications can be traced.

        • Wyatt says:

Again, you’re barking up the wrong tree. The searing question at the end of your evaluation is: then why was Lindsay the recipient of being killed? and what’s the connection/purpose to murdering Lindsay? The killing was PERSONAL. The End.
Killlers/Conspirators = Ryan, Jason, mommy dearest, DeSousa, Lums and a few stragglers.
Too easy. Too simple. But clearly outside the competence of cocaine Horsefly. And when you’re a dirty pig and have a helm of dirty pigs following your lead, then the mold is hard to crack.
Think conspiracy, think corruption and look at the past. It’s written in stone and the story is there to follow.

        • Angela White says:

Being in the real estate business. Money laundering was and still is a huge problem in real estate. Real Estate was and still is the premier method of money laundering. Nobody murders someone because of being turned down by a loan. This is either a high crime hit (which is completely possibly considering the option for money laundering, drug trade and real estate brokerage) or its an anger of either the mother or the boyfriend. Combination of both if she saw something that could put the offenders in jail, cohorts in jail and ruin a huge pipeline of cash. No doubt people were “paid off” to look the other way or knew better not to interfere. The RCMP need to do a business forensics on the brokerage in question and find out how many deals were all cash that SZ was a part of and the turn over of properties that she participated in of sales. If she was smart she would have not put her name on contracts but had her newlings written them up. The clue to the unravel of this crime is going to be in the statement Lindsay made regarding that she saw something she shouldn’t have seen. Although it is not uncommon for boyfriends to commit these crimes when the relationship is deemed over by the victim, typically there is some outrageous anger at the break up process. I don’t think the boyfriend would have done this under the speculation that she was going to just break up with him. He would have waited till she actually did break up with him – as before that moment, technically, he has a chance and technically he still “loves” her. It is more likely that Lindsay saw something and word got revealed that she was going to break up with him and the mastermind insisted this was the only option to prevent the ‘cash cow laundering/drug system” from being revealed. Especially, if Lindsay was struggling on how to handle what she saw. She may have told JZ that she was shocked and horrified at what she knew and didn’t know what to think of it. That information may have gotten back to SZ along with the knowledge that she was contemplating ending the relationship. That is the most likely motive.

          • Sheila Thailand says:

            Exactly!

          • Robin says:

Yes EXACTLY. Also SZ would have been furious at Lindsay because in SZ’s twisted, corrupt, I’m the boss attitude she was so kind and did so much for Lindsay. Once she knew Lindsay wanted to break free of Babyshark she would have seen Lindsay as an ungrateful person and she would have been insulted that she wanted OUT. SZ would have felt major rage and anger, over this. There it is motive, and she had the wherewithal to be so vicious against a young, pretty, respected, loved by many girl. SZ seethed with anger for Lindsay. She was also jealous of Lindsay’s youth and good heart. The psychopath that she is, is completely capable of planning and executing the murder of Lindsay. She had all the means and reason. Her boyfriend at the time was friends with DeSousa. She had many opportunities to be in the house prior. If I was in charge I’d have SZ in the slammer within the hour. She’s so connected to Vancouver Island’s shifty/slimy/nasty dirtbags. C’mon it’s so obvious. Money laundering, drugs, murder. Oh yah, babyshark’s Mommy.

            • Following says:

Plus SZ wanted her Son married, as we mothers do, and Lindsay fit what SZ was looking for to add to her sophisticated perception of her life. That’s why she rushed things along with the whole buying of a big house, furniture etc. SZ was probably stunned to find out that Lindsay was leaving the fold after she had let her into the fold. SZ thought she was safe in letting Lindsay see something…until SZ realized it was a mistake to show it.

          • anon says:

The information is staring at everyone in the face and its right here on the website posted in the drug bust- the amount was reported at $330,000 which included 80 kil of cocaine. https://lindsaybuziakmurder.com/timeline-of-calgary-drug-bust-november-2007-december-2008/
Moreover, if there is a theory about any of the specific women or friends involved in Lindsays murder, I would take a look at research done by Rosalind Wiseman. Her two books- Queen Bees and Wannabees (girls), as well as Masterminds and Wingmen (boys) inspired the movie “Mean Girls” staring Lindsay Lohan. I see Lindsay Buziak a little like the character Lindsay Lohan played. A sweet girl. I got the impression that if Lindsay Buziak were alive today, she would probably be defending all her friends that are being accused of her own murder. If a girl murdered her it had to be one of her best friends. The other two women (Rianne, Hermila) don’t seem to posses the level of perfectionism and organization that is required for someone to decide that they will pull off such a crime and never get caught. Think about the ages. Mean Girls the movie is pointing at high school students. Lindsay and her friends were all Transition Aged Youth- that means their brains were not fully developed (not until age 26). Therefore, the environment was still “high-school” even though some of the girls- and there were very few-like Lindsay Buziak were actually advanced enough (not getting caught up in gossip and focusing on her own career and life). There is nothing wrong with having a humble job, but if your best friend is making an exponential amount than you- you may start to question if life is worth getting out of bed in the morning. It seems to me like if I were the murders of Lindsay I would realize its only a matter of time and turn myself in. If you get the chance to be released from prison (I am guessing Canada does not have the death penalty?) you might enjoy the last few years of your life on the planet which is much more time than Lindsay got. TURN YOURSELF IN. Let the family have a little peace.

  7. deedee3003 says:

Why doesn’t the father go to the Attorney General ( or the equivalent in Canada) and ask if they will take the case over? Also the girl Nikki is very suspicious in my estimation. Why did she make up the story about someone with a Spanish accent calling her? I think if the boyfriend had something to do with it he wouldn’t have done it like that. He could have killed her in a remote place. Also he wouldn’t have passed a polygraph.

  8. Svetlana says:

Some 2017 news clipping about Matheson. Wonder who owns those homes where the stash was kept…AND I wonder who provided the bricks….

    https://vancouversun.com/news/local-news/island-drug-mastermind-ran-sophisticated-operation
The prosecutor wants a Greater Victoria man convicted of drug charges to spend the next six years in prison, arguing he was the mastermind behind the “sophisticated” scheme.

Zachary Scott Matheson, 40, was convicted in December of four counts of possession of cocaine, ecstasy and methamphetamines for the purpose of trafficking.
He and Ali Arash Ziaee were arrested in 2013 after police searched two homes in Langford and one in Saanich. At the time, police said the seized drugs — including cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy, crystal meth and GHB, the date-rape drug — were worth an estimated $542,000.
Ziaee pleaded guilty to three charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and was sentenced in 2016 to 2 1/2 years in jail.

The drug scheme was sophisticated, Cramer said. Matheson used safes, digital scales, money counters and a variety of encrypted telephones. The cocaine was transported in one-kilogram bricks.

  9. Jeff Buziak, father says:

I’m sure everyone is aware how I have pointed out that the B.C. Office of The Police Complaint Commission is really an after retirement work place for Saanich police officers. 3 heads of Lindsay’s murder file went to work there after retirement. Ross Poulton, Craig Samson, Rob McColl and Shirley Zailos ex boyfriend ex Saanich cop Barry MacLachlan worked at OPCC as well. There may be more that I’m not aware of. I’m sure you also know that when I had a complaint filed with that agency against Saanich police officers Chris Cocaine Horsley and Trevor the Dyck for arriving in Calgary unannounced to threaten me and that my complaint was refused because I exceeded a secret timeline so was ineligible. Well, there’s more!!!!!
It appears Saanich police officers don’t wait for retirement to line up at the trough for more money and a future career handling citizen complaints about police at the Office of the B.C. Police Complaint Commission OPCC. New Saanich Chief Scotty Green is already lining up his retirement and work at OPCC. I guess his $$$$$TWO HUNDRED THIRTY plus THOUSAND dollar salary from Saanich isn’t enough? It appears he may be double dipping on Saanich and shrugging his duty as Chief of Saanich police. At the time he was supposed to be busy transitioning to new Chief of Saanich police ole incoming Chief Scotty was off checking in on the sex life of a senior officer of a lower mainland police force.
WTF is going on at Saanich police anyhow? I’ve had report after report of cocaine use of members of Saanich police and the same ones cheating on their spouses and Chief Green is over on the mainland representing the OPCC snooping on who some other senior police officer is fucking. Scotty, Scotty, Scotty haven’t you heard of on-line porn to get your jollies and at least wait for retirement to work for the Saanich……er B.C. OPCC? Check your own bloody staff of scoundrels.
You were supposed to be acting as Chief at Saanich not perving out on some other senior officers sex life. Bob Downie was on extended leave at the time as well so Saanich had no Chief for their rudderless ship. Do you jokers ever work at Saanich doing actual police work? Uh Lindsay Buziak murder unsolved by Saanich police now nearing 12 years? Duh! Is that not a priority like fast Julie keeps blathering about to the media. I’m not drinking your Kool-Aide any more nor fast Julie’s.
Please Chief Scotty (for Dr Phil) turn Lindsay’s murder file over to another agency who wants to seriously work it as under your leadership and management by Chris Cocaine Millionaire Investor Horsley, Skirt Tugger Morgan and the View Royal Councillor it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. You are a father Chief Scotty. Don’t you get where I’m coming from?

    https://www.aldergrovestar.com/news/senior-delta-police-officer-dismissed-for-sexual-misconduct/

    • Robin says:

Good questions Jeff. Why would CHIEF Green be working for the OPCC when he started his new job as CHIEF of Saanich on August 1, 2019? Why would he go to Delta to investigate for the Delta Police as an OPCC employee when he was CHIEF in Saanich and Delta had their own Chief. What was wrong that Chief Neil Dubord could not do his own investigation? Saanich has a 12 year unsolved murder that doesn’t need CHIEF Green’s attention. WTF!!!!! Lindsay Buziak was viciously murdered at the prime of her life. She is DEAD at the hands of people who know damn well what happened and CHIEF Green can be away from his new job which is the IN CHARGE person of Lindsay Buziak’s unsolved almost 12 year old murder!!! He takes a position in DELTA to be the incharge of an inappropriate move a 25 year employee made on a young girl who was interested in being a cop!!! WTF is going on there? Why is the murder of Lindsay Buziak being pushed aside for that. Hell I could handle that situation in a fkin morning! What’s the matter with the DPD’s CHIEF? He is not capable of making that decision, so then tell me why is he CHIEF? Why was CHIEF Green moonlighting for the OPCC when he had a new job as CHIEF in the SPD? Have I said WTF yet? Lindsay Buziak’s father is wanting answers for the fact he no longer gets to see his daughter. Their family is broken-hearted FFS and CHIEF Green is dropping in on a sex scandal in DELTA? WTF!!!! For the OPCC who he does not even work for! C’mon someone better start getting to the bottom of just what does go on in Saanich. Why is Lindsay’s murder at ground ZERO while the CHIEF of POLICE steps away to investigate some inappropriate conduct for a completely different jurisdiction while he has one of if not the NO. 1 highest unsolved murder in CANADA, while people from all over the world are expecting answers for the murder of a young woman with her whole life ahead of her whose family miss her dearly! What in GOD’s name are you thinking in Saanich. No wonder Lindsay’s murder is unsolved when decisions like this are not questioned and actually allowed to take place. Bloody Hell what a sorry lot they are in Saanich. An unsolved murder like Lindsay’s on their books, a tormented family and a bunch of cops who lack compassion are in charge.
Hell’s bells are even ringing loud for answers. Who’s running this horror show needs to be more accountable, the SPD have lost their way when a new Chief buggers off like that from a brand new position with Lindsay’s murder on him. Have I said WTF…. oh yah a few times, well WTF again.

    • Svetlana says:

The government should do an audit on all police officers working in 2007 on Vancouver Island. They might uncover something. I’d question that ex lover cop of Shirley’s as well.

      • Robin says:

So disturbing. First of all right here is reason enough to have one of the highest profile unsolved murders in Canada removed from the Saanich Police. It is so obvious that they lack integrity. What kind of BS goes on there? Why are the taxpayers paying crazy amounts of money to have an overpaid CHIEF overseeing all these idiots who seem to think they can behave any old way they want? When did it change? I thought Police Officers were to set the example for the way citizens behave. How disgusting! This is absolutely outrageous!! I am also appalled the the OPCC is allowed to investigate themselves! WTF is that. Talk about outdated practices. I have mentioned before that WCB took bullying investigation practices away from employers in 2013 and legislation was passed to protect the worker from employers that constantly found themselves innocent of bullying allegations. I have told this story before but here to anyone who hasn’t heard it I will repeat if to make a point. I was the first person in my office to experience the new handling procedures around bullying and in the end my case was proven. The company I work for was already starting an investigation when they were told “No U R no longer involved in the investigation of these allegations. After the investigation was complete and my case was proven I was advised by my union that there had been 16 previous cases of bullying and harassment cases made by colleagues and all 16 of the claims were unfounded when the company was investigating themselves! It was quite the feat when we found out my case was proven. I had no idea what I was getting into I just knew I had no intention to suck up such bullshit.
This is exactly why the OPCC should not even exist! The OPCC needs to be manned by citizens who have proven to be decent, respectable people who have proven to have integrity.
I couldn’t be more disappointed in the SPD and the OPCC, the only one who I am more disappointed in is the man who was Chief of Police in Saanich, Mr. Bob Downie. Talk about “On the Take”. Why are so many people on the take in the Victoria area? Poor Lindsay Buziak and her family will never see JUSTICE while her MURDER case remains in the hands of the SPD. Such Poor Detectives is what SPD stands for. Shameful Police Department. Sinful that’s what it is.

        • Wyatt says:

Yeah…. the Police.. Policing the Police! Who’s the rocket scientist that introduced that entity? Oh wait…. that would be the corrupt politicians and dirty pigs, silly me, how could I not see that coming?
It’s like the atrocities of war, we are doomed to repeat them because we don’t seem to learn from them.
Who holds that political position to expose these dirty pigs for what they do? Who holds that power and authority? Where is their integrity? Why is the media not all over this police department?
WTF is wrong with this province? WTF?

  10. Wyatt says:

    Fresh off the press……
B.C.’s police unit dedicated to investigating unsolved murder cases says that a man has been charged in the 1993 killing of a young Vancouver woman….. the unsolved case had been referred to B.C.’s Unsolved Homicide Unit after a review of the file by Vancouver police.

And why again do these competent investigators not have Lindsay’s case? Will we have to wait 26 years? Or 40 years? Will her parents be deceased? I don’t understand!!!

  11. Lillian says:

    Ok, here’s a searing question/observation…..
Given the dusk hours of the day and the rather detailed description and composite drawing of the “female”….. just how and who determined that “she” was wearing a wig? How is that even possible to decipher that it is a wig? Were the witnesses that close to identity it was actually a wig? I’ve been standing beside some very good wig-wearers and could not determine if their hair was real or fake. In the end, I don’t believe the “witnesses” – it’s an easily made up story in their assistance to the killers and the “story” doesn’t fit the picture. That’s the thing about telling the truth – it never changes.

    • Mark Roush says:

Fictitious Callers, Fictitious Couple, Bribed Witnesses.

    • Real Man says:

Yes. The “Witnesses” Who are they and are they connected to any of the suspects who were cleared from the get go.Or connected to the home owner,or anyone else suspicious in this case. Do we take the word of the cops who flew out to threaten Jeff. Do the witnesses even exist? COLD CASE. Release it.Only reason the dirty pigs don’t because they are involved. Once upon a time cops were respected. Those days are gone.

      • Just A Canadian Citizen says:

I honestly no longer believe Lindsay and Jason went for lunch, there are no witnesses to anyone meeting on the driveway. Who the hell will take this FROZEN CASE on? Time to bring some respect back to the cops in BC. It makes me ill.

  13. Jeff Buziak says:

    Lindsay Buziak’s Unsolved Murder
    The Reason Why.

There are fewer murders solved today per capita than in 1935 even though training, resources and technology for police is at an all time high. The solve rate has plummeted! One in two killers are never even identified now when they are suspects.
There are 3,000 serial killers in North America right now and chances are you will pass by 16 of them in some way in your life.
Less than 15% of murders are being solved at best and not because they are unsolvable. Most investigations just fizzle out for some other comparatively less glamorous or heroic reason. Why?
    -Competing resources,
    -lack of resources,
    -interpersonal conflict,
    -bureaucracy,
    -incompetence
    -lack of political will.
So what happens as a result? People forget, the investigation goes into stasis, there is a hibernation of the case, a proverbial refrigeration……A Cold Case!
What rings true here with Lindsay’s investigation and the Saanich Police? It certainly isn’t a lack of resources. They actually spout off almost bragging of spending millions which really only shows their incompetence and ill use of people’s money in non-productive ways like flying two officers to Calgary to threaten me.
Please watch this. Please SHARE IT and think about Lindsay’s case and the Saanich police.

VICTORIA – A special committee of the B.C. legislature reviewing the province’s police complaint process makes 38 recommendations to increase the efficiency, effectiveness and accessibility of the complaint process.

The five member all-party committee held public hearings last June and met with representatives from the Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner and the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General.

Committee Chairwoman New Democrat Rachna Singh says among their 38 recommendations are ensuring supports are available to allow complainants to initiate complaints in respectful and safe environments.

The committee review also recommends the commissioner continue to promote dispute resolution to resolve complaints and it suggests changing the Police Act to ensure a retired judge is the discipline authority for a police chief or deputy chief facing complaints.

The report says audited results from the commissioner were positive with 65 per cent of the complaints filed being completed within six months, compared with 45 per cent in 2012.

The Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner says in a statement it commits to including its expanded complaint resolution and mediation programs into future plans.

This report by The Canadian Press was first published Nov. 25, 2019.

This guy in the TED video Michael basically says what I have been saying all along. Ignore the police because they are turning out to be not worth pursuing. A better use of time is to Crowd Source the identity of the murderers of Lindsay. If folks would pitch in on a day by day time line from October 2007 to the night of her murder on Feb. 2nd 2008, including people who were close to her at the time such as her friends, Jason and Shirley, the case might get solved. There is only one man that fits the description of a real life Indiana Jones. An Archaeology professor in California at a famous university. But he does not deal in Crime or Policing. The above TED video mentions the Golden State Killer and the cold case person who solved that. Another case that I thought of when watching the TED videos is that of JonBenet Ramsey. I read an article that said a man confessed to the killing multiple times to his friend. The friend (or long time acquaintance) of the man kept calling the L.A. Police tip line and leaving long detailed messages. He left multiple messages over a 10-20 year period. He said no one from police ever called him back to get additional information nor did they arrest his friend or question the man until just recently. https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-news/jonbenet-ramsey-murder-gary-oliva-confession-letters-778025/
If I lived by Victoria police station, I would definitely want to volunteer to help but I am not sure that they allow volunteers to handle serious phone calls or anything that would jeopardize a future case or arrest.

    • Wyatt says:

Read, watched and duly noted. I sure wish we could employ these “think tanks.” There are thousands of unsolved murders in this country and Lindsay’s has fallen into that category because of corruption, conspiracy and incompetence. I always think of their “roadie” trip to Calgary to come out and harass and intimidate you while socializing in their criminal world while they are there. Kinda flies in the face of insult, don’t it? And who’s held accountable &/or responsible for that misconduct? No one. Why? Because they are corrupt and that’s the type of 💩 they get away with along with covering up a murder! Makes me ill.

  14. Desi Rader says:

Has the realtor that had the listing been questioned? Has the house since been purchased and by whom and sold by whom?
Has the couple that recommended her ever been ruled out?
Did the witnesses or Jason see the car the couple drove?
And lastly, on the day the phone was on the ferry going back to Vancouver, someone involved also had to be on the ferry. Is there anyway there are records of that?
I’d love to see this solved. She was a beautiful, successful very motivated young daughter that deserved justice. Maybe some of my questions will help rule individuals in or out. Maybe not, but it’s just so tragic I felt I should ask.
I’m sincerely hopeful and very optimistic you’ll have your answers.

    • Lillian says:

All your questions are credible but most have already been answered in previous postings. Those that have not is due to the corrupt police who have likely not executed those investigative questions &/or will not share their incompetence with the family or public. The answers can not be provided because the dirty cops can’t/won’t discuss. Lindsay’s murder and killers have been exposed long time ago, it is the Satanic Police who are covering it up and obstructing justice.

  15. Jeff Buziak, father says:

As I’ve mentioned recently, there are two equally important issues surrounding Lindsay’s unsolved murder.

Firstly, there is Lindsay’s brutal murder while showing a home as a real estate agent in Saanich, B.C. and the ensuing so-called investigation. This has dragged on for over a decade now with the best results from Saanich police being the public clearing of the main suspects, attacks on me by Saanich police officers and a litany of LAME EXCUSES and EXPLANATIONS from Saanich police why they haven’t performed their duty sworn by individual and collective oaths of office.

Secondly, there is Saanich police which can best be described as an inbred, incompetent, mesogenous, antiquated group of individuals more interested in promoting their self inflated egos and their off-work interests more than focusing on their chosen career and day to day duties as detectives and police officers upholding the law and protecting citizens. They are best described by one of their former officers, “Saanich Police has been a sad sack, incompetent rudderless ship for decades! There needs to be an independent external audit focused on leadership and ethics in that department. I’m embarrassed to admit that I was once a member of that department!”. As you can see its not just me.

The result of this and the main issue with Lindsay’s unsolved murder which shouldn’t even exist but is the real problem is…..Saanich Police! Until Saanich police are sorted out or at best, GET Their Shit Together, Lindsay’s murder will probably not be solved. This problem isn’t because the murder investigation is complicated and challenging or there is a lack of evidence; that is the excuse used by Saanich police and it is what they are really good at convincing some of the public of. The bottom line is they aren’t capable of doing their job. If they were they would have eliminated those challenges a long time ago and got on with arrests instead of waiting around for those challenges to sort themselves out while they fididdled with their personal businesses and self aggrandizing.

Unfortunately for all of us, the huge mess at Saanich police is the bigger issue than Lindsay’s unsolved murder and until they are sorted out resolution and arrests in the savage execution of Lindsay Buziak the day after 7 senior officers of Saanich police retired February 2008 will likely not happen. The new Chief of Saanich police Scott Green has been away from his position more than at his job since literally inheriting the office this past summer from Million Dollar Man Bob Downie so unlikely Saanich police have any kind of leadership grip on the rudder of their directionless ship. Neither police Chief Scott Green or Saanich Mayor Fred Haynes will address Lindsay’s murder publicly or speak with me. How could they? They are hiding ashamed. Cowards. This is the problem!

Regardless, I will push on drawing my determination and will from my wonderful daughter Lindsay, who I dearly miss, and all you wonderful people who see the light and stand for what is right!

I’m just a dad wanting justice for my murdered daughter. Is that too much to ask your birth country for?

    Thank you
    Jeff Buziak

    • Marianne says:

I’m so sorry for your loss. I haven’t read through the website but things I thought of – Was video of the ferry reviewed or logs checked for license plates of cars?
Were hotel logs/home rentals checked for the area the night before? If the phone came on the ferry the day before so did the murderers.
Have they determined the dress brand/where it was sold/records of who purchased it?
Is there anyway a computer analyst can track IP addresses who visit this website and others regarding the crime? I would think the murderers would be your most frequent website visitors.
Prayers that you will find resolution and justice.

    • Svetlana says:

I am sorry, Jeff. I wish they do something. They have all the tools in their hands to solve this. There should be an audit done on the “millions of dollars” that was apparently spent on this case as per Det. Horsley. What happened to all those tips and leads they got?

    • Curiously Curious says:

I have a question and please forgive me if this has been answered before.
I remember hearing that the male called Lindsay earlier that day saying his wife wouldn’t be accompanying him to viewing of the DeSousa house, but a woman arrived to the showing with him. Does anyone have any idea what this could of been about? Was Lindsay witnessed shaking the woman’s hand, or just the male? Maybe Lindsay knew the woman who accompanied him?

      • Lillian says:

Keeping in mind that this information about the couple is remotely credible, at the alleged time of the “sighting” Lindsay was already murdered, laying dead upstairs. This staging was just that…. a stage. IF there were 3 people outside the murderous mansion, none were Lindsay. The rather detailed description is also suspect given the time of day (dark) and year. If Lindsay is dead at this time, all suspicions suggests it was part of the setup.

      • Justice says:

What evidence do you have to say she made up the story?

    • Courtney says:

Jeff have you hired any private investigators
      Of your own?

      • ConnectTheDots says:

He tried to but the SPD shut that down. I guess they couldn’t have anybody else solving this ”unsolvable” case.

        • see closely says:

The fact is that SPD can’t shut anything like that down. After all, many people claim that they never reported anything to AG office and therefore they have no right to do that as they have no leads at all and other people may be able to find the leads. In that case there is no interference with SPD.If I,for example, had any clues I would follow them without any worry about SPD or AG office.Priority is -always-to try to solve the murder of Lindsay Buziak.Screw anybody who thinks otherwise.

  16. Just A Canadian Citizen says:

There is Always strength in numbers. If you know something e mail Jeff and you can get together privately and go from there. If you are living with knowledge it will probably take you down. The more people that stand together makes it harder for anyone to not believe in you or to take you down. Don’t you think it is time for Lindsay to rest in peace and for her family to have closure? If you all stand together you don’t need to be afraid because the good will take over the evil.

    • Svetlana says:

I think the people who knew Lindsay, her friends or coworkers, should contact Jeff or the police with whatever they know, no matter how trivial or crazy sounding, it can be important.

    • anon says:

Operation Groundhog Day: The people that murdered Lindsay Buziak did not just pick the day after Groundhog day out of thin air – they specifically chose February 3rd (which written another way is 2/3 ) because it has to do with their relationship with Lindsay. Moreover, you see 3 3 3 written in Lindsay’s Journal. There is or was a night club in Vancouver called 333 which was is/ owned and operated with another- you guessed it- automotive shop (reference SHC) owned by Chinese in Vancouver. These two auto shops – SHC and 333 Clark Drive auto shop V & H Auto repair – may have been involved in transporting illegal in cars. How they are connected to LIndsay and other elements of the case is for the police to figure out as I am positive that they have information that links everything. The date means something. The fact the the killers waited 3 months from November 2007 when they bought the phone till using it in February 2008 means something. It is a very specific time line. Perhaps a big drug movement was going out on that day from Saanich and the killers wanted every Cop in Saanich to be at the DeSousa house rather than downtown or at the docks. That would explain a lot. Again, speculation.

      • Robin says:

Lindsay was murdered February 2, 2008

        • Anon says:

2/2…February 2nd… That is definitely Groundhog day. Chinese new year fell on February 7th that year, 2008, and is a changeable date. I did not know about Candlemas ..that’s new to me https://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/common/candlemas

        • anon says:

I am thinking that someone murdered Lindsay because they always felt that they were in her Shadow ( ref. Groundhog Day)? Only Jason or Lindsay’s Dad would know which of her “friends” felt that they were always in her shadow. Lots of siblings feel that way but it sounds like she was close to her sister.
Also, I am also always thinking about the comments that the caller made to Lindsay about the work transfer. In Canada, you call a work housing transfer something different than you would call it in the United States. In the United States its called Corporate Relocation. The caller told Lindsay it was a “Corporate Transfer” which sounds unique to Canada or everywhere else outside the USA. It sounds the same but it is very different. It’s like saying “Football” to Americans, that’s a pigskin and Brett Farve and Joe Montana. But when you say “Football” to someone in Canada, UK or anywhere else in the world, that’s a soccer ball and Pele or Kruss, Ronaldo and Messi. See the killers leave subtle clues about who they are, what they watch, where they go. There is layers of information to peel back on. How many people use the phrase Corporate Transfer versus Corporate Relocation? What kind of people are they? What experience do they have with Corporate Transfers and real estate? Have they been transferred by a corporate company before? I know what people think “the cops should know this” … the cops have the same information we have. They may have more information that we don’t. But that does not mean that we can’t crowd source the identity of Lindsay’s murders ourselves. If I were that person or that group of people I’d be really worried that I would get caught soon and just turn myself in because it works better for your plea deal. It’s only a matter of time, if the cops don’t do it, citizens will.

      • Wyatt says:

I think you’re barking up the wrong tree. The killing of Lindsay had absolutely nothing to do with drugs or the cartel. It was PERSONAL! The killers and conspirators simply had connections to the drug thugs but played no direct role in the setup to murder Lindsay. It’s not rocket science as your theory suggests and it’s not that complicated or complex and any version outside the personal approach is only a distraction from the despicable truth.

        • Just A Canadian Citizen says:

I agree Wyatt that this was very very PERSONAL. Without proof there are so many questions. Did Jason and Lindsay even have lunch? The house could have had 10 people in it when Lindsay came upstairs? I too believe the meeting outside was set up for whoever just might see something and I believe Lindsay was already deceased by then. Anyone with compassion would expect the boyfriend, Jason, to be distraught over the loss of his loved one. There is nothing, no feelings, no compassion, nothing. This murder was planned with the knowledge that the Senior Cops were retiring and it would be easy to pull off. This is just my opinion as I am an educated person and I can easily see it. Not complicated at all if the proper police work was done at the time. The crime scene photos should have been taken at the very instant the scene was discovered with the body blurred out. I do believe that someone will need to get over their fear to solve this case. There are good cops that are not in “the old boy’s club” I believe that know right from wrong. One day.

          • Wyatt says:

I admire your optimism JACC. I too have hope that the good coppers out number the dirty ones and it is their perseverance that bust this corruption and conspirators, I think the good coppers voices are stronger and more effective than ours could hope to be. It bothers me terribly that 12 years have ticked by without any movement, both in the case or the cleaning up of the dirty cops. What is the fear? Are the good coppers afraid of being labelled dirty? If we could just start with having this case pulled from the Satanic Police and assigned to dedicated/uncorrupt task force without no associations to the Sannich Police. I believe once Lindsay’s murder is given the professional investigation it’s deserves, the corruption and dirty cops will be blown wide open! Collateral Damage in a good way.
Jason, Ryan and mommy-dearest will charged with murder for killing Lindsay……. one day….. for that my glass is ½ full.

            • Just A Canadian Citizen says:

Once again I agree Wyatt. How many more years can the SPD hang onto this case? It’s not just cold, it’s frozen, let it go to someone that can give the family and Lindsay the justice deserved.

        • Svetlana says:

I feel it was like some sort of revenge and Zailo involved 100%. The police need to arrest someone fast. It is despicable and sad that it can go on this way. Are any of those drug addicts in jail today? They should talk and say something to someone.

          • Jessica says:

And get killed by other drug dealers in prison, sure good idea. They can’t even offer early parole because everyone gets that in BC. The law and punishment system is so pathetic.

  17. cwick says:

    rianne gracia????
    hermila beltran????

    • Svetlana says:

I see her name come up a lot. So she is a childhood friend of Lindsay’s. Was she by any chance involved romantically with any of the Zailo brothers and/or the drug addicts on the page Undesirables Victoria?

      • Lillian says:

I am having some sober 2nd thoughts of her “involvement” also. Some time ago I was convinced (and wrote same) that she didn’t appear to be “involved” but as I read more about her subsequent demeanour and uncooperative behaviour, her sudden departure from the Zailo’s workplace, then conveniently taking jobs at the legislature is very suspect. Because she was an old friend to Lindsay I cut her some slack but I think she knows WAY more than we suspect. I’d like to believe she had no idea there was a murder being plotted but she provided setup information that was subsequently used in aiding Lindsay killers. Hence the sudden departure, she quickly put 2+2 together and got the hell out of dodge and she’s been running scared ever since. Vanished? Or does anyone have current info on her status? Sooner or later this girls guilt will bring her out of her shame. That is, if the Zailo’s haven’t got her in their crosshairs. I’d be worried about my life too if I were in her shoes.

        • cwick says:

I totally think she’s in on it or at least def aided the killers. she worked with lindsay…knew the info about the house, refused a polygraph, etc., etc…and yes the legislature jobs were verrry suspicious. there’s 2#s listed online re the job(s) she had but both are now disconnected.
and you’re also correct in that (if she is involved) her life would def be in danger cuz shes a loose end…hence her basically vanishing.

          • Svetlana says:

I can’t see any outsiders planning this – this was a very close family conjured-up plan. They may have brought (bought) in some help but ultimately they orchestrated it.

        • see closely says:

I seldom agree with Lilian but in this case I concur.

    • Svetlana says:

It’s been mentioned that the “woman” in the dress was actually a male. From the photos in the Undesirables Victoria I can picture Rhys Bolton looking like that. Why on the last minute the man called Lindsay and said he is coming alone without his wife? Then “she” appeared with him. And the description of the voice – I can only think of it as a male voice disguised to be a female. They will sound very strange.

  18. Shelley M Shorttz says:

Hello. I just watched a show on Dr. Oz ( Nov. 19/19) and Lindsey immediately came to my mind. In short reach out to the Beverley Carter Foundation web page. It’s American but it may contain some valuable information and support. God bless.

  19. Jeff Buziak says:

Seriously, there are 2 things that desperately need sorting out here. Lindsay’s Murder in Saanich and the Saanich police. Unfortunately Lindsay’s Murder is in jeopardy of never being solved if first Saanich police aren’t sorted out. This would take a Mayor with some skills and balls, which obviously the current one doesn’t possess, (still ignoring me) along with a strong local media. 4 major USA TV shows approached me eager to do a show on Lindsay’s unsolved murder and all asking me “Whats up with the local media in Victoria?” Dr Phil’s people asked the same thing of course and were puzzled shaking their heads because I didn’t have an answer for them. Dr Phil is the No. 1 daytime TV show in North America and is seen in 42 countries around the world. When they are puzzled, smiling and shaking their heads about Victoria media, there is a problem!
I was in Los Angeles filming for 4 days so they asked lots believe me. Saanich police and Ojason Zailo refused to participate but the producer said the show needs to be done regardless!!
Dateline is still showing reruns around the world to millions of people and the OWN Network is currently showing the Dateline show as well. Dateline spent 2 million on the show.
What have Saanich police accomplished in 12 years? They cleared the main suspects, they have traveled to Calgary lots and they have been very creative with explanations and excuses why they are failing while putting Fast Julie out to the media to take the heat because the Chief of Saanich police is either on holidays, retiring, hiding or having cosmetic surgery to add the balls he doesn’t have to speak of Lindsay’s murder publicly! (nor did his predecessor the million dollar man Bobby Downie)

    • Just A Canadian Citizen says:

No response at all to my e mail to the Mayor. I usually get some kind of automatic response when I send e mails. Very sad group indeed out there in beautiful BC

    • Svetlana says:

Saanich police said they have some theories. Where are those theories? Tell the people, tell the father, tell the family. Are they sitting on those theories? One good theory that I can give them is that Jason Zailo is a murderer. 99% of all people say the same. So why are they sitting on it?

      • ConnectTheDots says:

Saying that we have some theories means nothing. Most of us believe that Jason is not a murderer. An accomplice yes. His brother Ryan appears to have played a role in this.

        • Magdelina says:

Exactly ur right. Jason was in on it, knew about it. The timing, having a witness in the car, closing the door, looking at the camera. He knew she was scared of going. Any boyfriend would have been there on time or earlier. Parking down the street, wasting time and not seeing another car there. On and on, so much circumstantial evidence. I watch about her murder almost everyday, all programs and even on you tube, people who talk about this, and it’s ashamed. So sad, so wrong, so crooked. Evil plain and simple. They know ALL involved. Many know, but are crooked. Ps was watching again over 3 hours today. I’m just shocked how obvious this is.

          • Robin says:

Me too, i’m outraged and will spend the rest of my life seeking justice for Lindsay and her family. The Zailo’s were behind this along with all the evil they are connected with. We all can see this runs deep. Saanich Police are as dirty as it gets. Where the Eff is the Canadian media i’d Like to know? Shame on them!!!

          • Justice says:

Magdelina, You need to pair up with Svetlana. With your deep insight, The two of you should be able to help Cocaine Chris break the case wide open.

            • Magdelina says:

Either ur being facetious or I’m reading this wrong. Bottom line u know as well as ALL he is crooked. It will take a God fearing man and do what is right to get this case solved. Their r people in prison for less evidence. Put all the pieces together and there is a puzzle solved. They don’t want to do this as police, etc r involved.

              • ConnectTheDots says:

I agree. If you stand back and look at the big picture, all of the inconsistencies, staring up into the camera, parking and parking again, insistently coercing his aquaintance into going out for dinner even though he had just had a meal with Lindsay and was going on to a hockey game after, calling in the middle of the night feigning an accent similar to the one Lindsay spoke about, having the inside information that was necessary to this crime, being cleared so early on in the investigation even though they were prime suspects and the SPD had no one else to arrest (the list goes on and on) there is a picture painted that given the particulars and dynamics makes a lot of sense. The picture that all of this paints is pretty clear. In yet, given all of this, the SPD have not uncleared the Zailos and all we the public get is ” we have many theories”. Yeah…… well SPD, we have a few theories too and they don’t look very good on you. Instead of your supposed theories how about you give us some answers. Like what the hell are you doing with this case and why??

              • Justice says:

I think we all have similar opinions but the way in which you are stating yours sounds like you know about some solid evidence that can bring charges against Jason Zailo. If you are stating your opinion you should make it clear otherwise making statements like “you know” are misleading. If you Know something, you need to say something. What we know is the SP haven’t solved the case and are likely not near to solving it for almost 12 years. There was no DNA evidence of anyone else other than who they already knew about, in the house and the SP would rather sit on their thumbs than hand it over to anyone. The witnesses who arrived at the crime scene have reported that it was not preserved very well. They let Jason walk through the murder house and touch things without any gloves only a few days after the murder. They took photos of the crime scene for press release, after the house was cleaned and staged it with a pair of shoes at the front door. They lied about Jason being an eye witness to the killers outside of the front door and have never released a drawing of the man’s face, Jason would have seen clearly. We know Lindsay saw something she felt she shouldn’t have and was unhappy with her relationship with the whole Zailo family at home and at work. She tried to part ways several times and likely would have finally done so in the near future. We know Jason lied on DateLine about that. We don’t know but are pretty certain that Shirley lied about Lindsay saying coincidentally the evening before she was murdered that she was afraid of her ex. We know Shirley has an acrid personality and is emotionally abusive to people who work for her and to her son Ryan from witnesses. We know the Zailos lied about Lindsay asking Jason to go to the showing to ensure Lindsay’s safety form co-workers who told this to the media only 2 days after her murder. We believe and it is our opinion that the Zailos were the murder conspirators. I would refrain from using the phrase we know or I know because we do not know for a fact. If you have information that allows you to know for a fact, please share it with the SP and Jeff Buziak. If the accusations you are making are based on your opinion, you should make it clear or you sound like a lunatic. We are discussing theories and pointing out inconsistencies in the SP and Zailo statements released to media. There are several possible explanations (1) the SP did a poor job and are trying to cover it up or (2) they are covering for someone or (3) both. I think, I do not know, that it is a toss-up. If they handed the file over to better prepared agency to investigate, much of this speculation would be put to rest. This is our primary goal here. If you are so sure and know so much that the SP should go out and make an arrest today, you should go over there and please tell them just how they should go about doing that. Yes, we all wish we could all have a magic wand and do just that but we do not live in fantasyland. I feel like you may have an agenda like you Are making statements in an attempt to make this site look foolish this discrediting it. That would help the SP and their wanna-be writer ex-cop supporter wouldn’t it? Gerry has already said publicly that People on this site Make outrageous, slanderous and unfounded claims about the Zailos. I can only speak for myself but my theories are my opinion, based on the facts or fiction released by the SP and we should be clear about that here. bringing the Zailos into our theories is fair game because they put themselves Out there on DateLine and the public reacted. After watching the interviews, the public became very suspicious of the Zailos and the SP released a statement clearing them because of that. The general public is not a stupid bunch of people.

                • Just A Canadian Citizen says:

Honestly at this point I really don’t know what is fact and what is fiction. Did Ryan and Lindsay even go for lunch? There are so many questions that could be proven with a trusted police force. One day Lindsay someone will pay because they can’t keep this corrupt wall up forever. This is just so disgusting for being in Canada. Stay strong Lindsay supporters one day someone with morales and integrity will step into one of these postions of power and want justice too.

            • Svetlana says:

Justice, you can join us because you have deep insights too.

        • Svetlana says:

There is a difference between the murderer and a murderer. He is a murderer just as if a husband who hired someone to kill his wife we would call a murderer and never an accomplice; so we’d whisper to someone “well, he murdered his wife, that’s why he’s in jail”.

        • Anon says:

That supports a 3 person rather than 2 person theory. Two people posed as prospect decoys one waits in the bathroom upstairs to murder Lindsay when she comes up. The question is which 3 person combination had the most to gain by shutting Lindsay up? Also I never see anything about Jason Zailos former girlfriend here. I personally find it odd that at the same time Lindsay was gaining success in real estate, Zailos ex-girlfriend is following in her footsteps. That’s no coincidence. And no matter how pleasant people are to each other an ex is still an ex. I would love to know why she broken up with Jason yet followed in his own mothers’ AND Lindsays footsteps. Most people especially women would be caught or thought of as second rate or a copycat. If she wanted to show off that she was better than Shirley or Lindsay, so Jason would want her again, it’s kind of macabre and twisted to want to show up an old lady and a corpse. As for Shirley she was making her brokers cut from Lindsay for doing zero work herself. Why kill someone that’s making YOU money?

          • Svetlana says:

I think she was mentioned a few times somewhere on this site. I don’t think her success is a coincidence because if you read her biography her own father was a realtor and she started in this business before Jason even met Lindsay. I think her brother is a realtor too. But I wouldn’t put it past her to be extremely jealous of Lindsay. How do you know one waited in the bathroom upstairs?

            • Lillian says:

In the closet, not the bathroom. See the layout. When she passed in front of the closet to go to the en-suite, the killer came out, stabbed her in the neck, immediately immobilizing her and then continued with his violent rage stabbing to express his “personal” hatred.

            • Anon says:

Read closer, my post says the word “theory”. The time line appears very short. No time for two people to run upstairs w Lindsay, kill her then run down to the front then out the back fence. Another theory, and please let’s make sure that we know theory=a speculation, is that SHC was a front for drug transport. The CCTV was rigged and pre-recorded, Jason and Lindsay never had Lunch at Sauce, that couple were also decoys and The person that met the couple, according to the eyewitness, may not have been Lindsay at all. The body of Lindsay may have been transported to the house and as you say propped up against the wall. In order for this theory to fly- there would have had to have been a low level of blood at the crime scene or blood that was planted from another location -where Lindsay was actually killed (Sauce? SHC?, Jason’s house?) In which case the transported blood samples became more difficult to collect because of its changed state. Let’s get real about people in Saanich sobering up. It isnt going to happen. You can’t solve a crime in a house divided. Stop asking lawless people to do the right thing. They wont. Find the Angel on the police force that will help from the inside. Find the one Saanich official that gives an F about people and help them to help you.

              • Svetlana says:

                What is SHC, CCTV?

              • Robin says:

The killers or killer entered the house while Lindsay and Jasin were still at Sauce or at least close to that time. Do not forget owner Joe DeSousa was still hanging around and likely let Lindsay into the house. Lindsay was murdered before 5:30. She was probably checking throughout house when killer struck. Meeting out front was all for show, a set up for any witnesses walking around at that time. Killers escaped thru kicked in fence to neighbors house and he drove the murder and conspirator to where they planned to be. Don’t u find it odd that SZ arrived on foot around same time police arrived? She was dropped off by neighbour Terry Shein. I suggest anyone who does not understand this yet listen to Casefile 38. It is done by Australian guy and is the one that is over 1 hour. He explains this very well.

                • Wyatt says:

                  Absolutely bang on Robin! 👍
Why is it people don’t get that Lyndsay was killed and dead by 5:00pm? Not “transported” from another killing field, that’s just ridiculous.

                • Svetlana says:

The meeting out front for some reason doesn’t seem right because the killers would not do a show outside the house where they just murdered someone. They’d want to get away as fast as possible. How credible are the witnesses? Do we know who they are even? I do find it very strange that Shirley Zailo “walked” there. The police are total idiots for not finding this suspicious. Terry Shein dropped her off from where and to where?

                  • Robin says:

It was not Lindsay who met the couple at 5:30. That couple and person pretending to be Lindsay was a set up just for witnesses and to distract from what really was going on I side that house. Lindsay was likely let in by DeSousa who was probably expecting her since Jasin probably told Mommy dearest she was on her way. The killer was waiting. DeSousa knows exactly what went on. SZ was let off a couple blocks away by TS. Couple were driven to ferry by TS and they took knife, clothes, phone etc and disposed of all in Vanc. TS picked up his kid off ferry that spooky couple got on. Ryan was maybe dropped off at Michelle Lum’s place by TS or taken elsewhere

                  • Retired Detective says:

Maybe they wanted to time stamp the meeting. This would further cement Jason’s alibi, he was in the car driving with Cohen and had a text message and video to show he was leaving SHM at that moment. The bright dress and blonde wig would certainly stand out at dusk. It is pretty dark that time of year at 5:30. It they didn’t want to be seen, they should have worn dark colors and big coats and hats, nothing unusual for winter and would conceal blood stains easily. They chose a bright colored summer dress for a reason; to attract attention In the dark so someone would see them and stamp the time. The workers, the neighbors and DeSousa knew someone walked their dog at that time. One of those people knew because they were at the house often and knew the neighbors pattern of walking her dog.

            • Justice says:

What do you know about Jasmin Parsons that you could say you wouldn’t put it past her to be jealous? Is she an obsessively jealous person? Did Jason dump her for Lindsay? Was she known for violent behavior? If you can answer these questions, where did you get your information?

              • anon says:

I don’t know Jasmine, and for all we know she could be a great gal. Check her website, she highlights the “X” in her company name. Searching her office address, it’s a co-working space. Not too confident about that if she’s a seasoned agent with her own business. Wouldn’t she have her own office by now? Or work for a broker? or work just from home? Jasmine herself is the only other realtor in the area that I know of who says “a woman with a strong accent called to list a house but did not call back with the address” https://www.pressreader.com/canada/times-colonist/20080206/281496451971468
Jasmine was quoted in two separate publications talking about a foreign accent caller. She voluntarily subjected herself to public scrutiny in doing this. I am sure the police have checked her out too.

                • Justice says:

Interesting how McDuff brothers, and Parsons, Jason’s ex, and Lindsay’s co-workers all talked to the reporters but no mention of the Zailos. Brad likely told them not to talk to anyone since they were being investigated. If they were so cooperative, why not get out there in the media and ask for help In solving this case like Matt and Malcom did?

                • Svetlana says:

I think she is exaggerating about the strong accent bit. I don’t know how long she knew Jason but she must know something about that family or even Rianne?

  20. Jeff Buziak says:

A direct quote from a Vancouver Island resident and former Saanich police officer:

“Saanich Police has been a sad sack, incompetent rudderless ship for decades! There needs to be an independent external audit focused on leadership and ethics in that department. I’m embarrassed to admit that I was once a member of that department!”

    • anon says:

If there was any question of the validity of the connection to the idea that Lindsay was part of a mistaken identity or targeted hit from drug lords, gangsters and the like- why hasn’t IHIT ever picked up on the case? I just read their website and it sounds like something they would investigate: http://bc.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/ViewPage.action?siteNodeId=2142&languageId=1&contentId=-1

      • Jeff Buziak says:

Very good question! Why haven’t they? If Saanich police are so sure then why don’t they arrest someone. The only rational answer I can give you is that Saanich cop Horsley has been known to associate with full patch members of the HA so he could be blaming the delalcazar brothers and their uncles the Lopez brothers to eliminate them so his buddies can take over that drug trade business. You know, eliminate the competition and get your cop buddy to do it.

        • ConnectTheDots says:

You don’t publicly clear your prime suspects unless you know for a fact that they didn’t do it. The only way you can know for a fact that they did not commit this very personal, heinous, clearly an inside job, murder is if they know who else did do it. FACT: They clearly do not have reason or cause to arrest anybody else so WTF is going on in Saanich?? This so called investigation stinks to high heaven and has from day one. There is too much inconsistency and nutty/mean spirited behavior to chalk it up to incompetence.

          • Svetlana says:

And they were quite quick to clear. Didn’t they check for blood with special sprays and infrared imaging? I would’ve checked Shirley’s shoes and car and all other suspects’. I would find her old car and check it for blood.

            • Justice says:

Too bad you were not a detective on the case Svetlana. You would have cracked it wide open! You should go make a citizen’s arrest so we can all rest since you are 99% sure. Do you have any information to base your 99% theories or do you just like repeating that you are sure Jason did it. We all now know Your opinion because you repeat it everyday. What can you do to prove it?

            • ConnectTheDots says:

Even if they had no evidence you still don’t clear the most likely suspects. The boyfriend that Lindsay was planning on leaving and his mother, Lindsay’s boss. Both of whom had access to Lindsay’s client info which was necessary to carry out this murder. Didn’t they clear Ryan too?
All three of them in one go. Something is seriously wrong with the SPD.

        • Anon says:

I would love to know the names of the two cops that flew out and threatened you in Calgary. I’ve got extended family and friends in police that say that would never happen. Who verified they actually worked with Saanich police? I have no doubt you are telling the truth but I’ll bet that those two “cops” were not cops at all and had been hired by Lindsay’s killers..or you may have spoken to her killers face to face. They took your daughters life..they’d have no qualms about confronting you or lying about their own identity. Killers or henchmen of a king pin. Not cops unless they snowed the Saanich police too. By the looks of things that wouldn’t seem too hard.

          • Jeff Buziak says:

            Chris Horsley
            Trevor Dyck
Both these idiots are Saanich play police I confirmed. I know Horsley. It was Dyck who wouldn’t identify himself and Horsley ordered him not to. Dyck was head of Saanich police professional standards at the time. Typical Saanich police gangster way.

      • Robin says:

I’m sure IHIT has tried to take over Lindsay’s unsolved murder but for some effd up hidden agenda Saanich will not let go. They do not want it solved and would prefer everyone forget all about Lindsay Buziak. This is more than disturbing to me. Shame on all you men who have daughters, I don’t care if you are corrupt or honest you all know this should never happen to a young woman, EVER. I hope all of you take a look at your own daughter and imagine this happening to her.
Wake up all of you guys who have daughters FFS, you are all equal in that feeling. Saanich cops have done way more harm than good here and where is the media? Looking for Old Saint Nick. Where’s the elected officials? Standing in line at the liquor store? Vancouver Island has so much dead weight taking up air in the so called capital of B.C. useless POS people all on the taxpayer’s dime. Wake up journalists. Is the Times Columnist a training center for newbies? Get serious FFS. Time to take off the rose coloured sunglasses and come out from under the palm trees Victoria and Saanich.

      • Wyatt says:

Lindsay’s murder was strictly “personal.” It is that simple. No drug related connectivity whatsoever. The SPD are the source of this distracted scenario because it serves their purpose in continuing their coverup. There is absolutely no evidence, real or circumstantial, that leads to a drug related murder. The rationale as to why the drug cartels haven’t taken issue with having fingers pointed at them is because they didn’t have any role in targeting Lyndsay’s murder so they simply chuckle at the suggestion because there is no evidence to suggest they did. Too easy. Point fingers (by the SPD) all you like, they aren’t taking the bait.
I would be reluctant to think there’s any turf war going on because again, there’s no evidence of that. As in the mainland, gang shootings, car burnings on a weekly basis, I didn’t get any of that in Saanich. I would suggest that dirty copper Horsefly is actually part ‘n parcel of the established gangs otherwise they would have eliminated him for “ratting” or suggesting their alleged involvement in Lindsay’s murder.
The fact that this dysfunctional police department has fallen into corruption and deceit for decades is very disturbing. Who’s guarding the hen house for crying out loud? 😡

    • Wyatt says:

For decades! WTF. Clearly the Satanic Police need to be shut down. Forget any level of external audit/investigation, close shop, dismiss the lot and amalgamate. There’s too much dirty laundry to clean.

    • Jeff Buziak says:

This same former Saanich police officer continues with how things work at Saanich police:
“The real blame lays with senior management and no succession planning for key roles such as major crimes detectives. Assignments are handed out as rewards for loyalty or to friends, rarely on merit. The best qualified person will not get the job if they are not with the program. I saw this first hand.”

    • Just A Canadian Citizen says:

Why is this former Saanich Police Officer not willing to spill what he knows? Has anyone approached him?

  21. MARIA INIGUEZ says:

I JUST SAW CRIME WATCH DAILY AND I HOPE SOMEDAY SOON THEY CATCH YOUR DAUGHTER’S KILLERS.

HAS ANYONE QUESTIONED JASON’S FRIEND ON WHY HE WENT TO THE SHOWING OF THE HOUSE? IF FOR SOME REASON THEY NO LONGER TALK AND IF HE IS GIVEN SOME TYPE OF DEAL WERE IF HE TALKS HE WILL NOT BE IMPLICATED IT MIGHT HELP RESOLVE THIS CASE. NOBODY REALLY MENTIONS THE FRIEND THAT WAS WITH JASON ON THE DAY OF THE MURDER. HE HOLDS PART OF THE CLUES TO THIS CASE.

    • Svetlana says:

That is what bothered me when I heard about this friend, Cohen Oatman otherwise known as CO here. If he is so innocent how dumb can he be not to sense something? Or if he is not innocent is he playing dumb?

      • Justice says:

I don’t think he is relevant Svetlana. This is about the SPD.

      • Ashley Marie says:

I’m pretty certain that CO now works for Jason at Jason’s company. And if I’m not mistaken Joe Desousa lives in the murder house…. how does SP not have this case solved?
Does anyone know if the SP have ever brought evidence to the crown seeking approval to lay charges? Ive heard on another podcast that they have but were denied due to evidence… I’ve looked online but it’s not public record. Idk how Canada works but if they’ve publicly cleared the prime conspirators can they then lay charges on them? What does clearing them publicly actually do in the eyes of ever seeking charges? Does that hinder the law in anyway?

    • Just A Canadian Citizen says:

It appears he works for Jason at his company.

  22. Just A Canadian Citizen says:

Is it true Jeff that there were bloody sock and stocking prints in the house? I have never heard this before. If so there should have been some DNA from those footprints.

    • Retired Detective says:

I can’t say for certain because I was not there and there were no security cameras but an ex-cop wanna be writer Gerry claims the Saanich Police gave him this information. They report that the only DNA found was from Lindsay. If this murder happened today, there are ways of preserving samples that could be tested for touch DNA.
If this is true and I remain skeptical, All this tells us is that a man and a women in stockings walked in Lindsay’s blood, walked down the stairs and likely put their shoes on at the front door where the trail ends. There may have been other people who were there that did not walk in blood and did not leave footprints. The police are not considering this possibility. They brought Jason into the crime scene to repeat his movements a few days later thus contaminating the crime scene- unusual and weird. The crime unit had the floors cleaned and walls painted soon after and then took the photos they released to the media -weird. Have you ever heard of an investigation like this? I have not!

      • ConnectTheDots says:

The crime unit had the floors cleaned and the walls painted so that they could release a video of one of the main suspects walking through the scene of the crime? Only now cleaned up and sanitized shortly after the murder destroying any hope of retrieving any further evidence? Since when does a crime unit arrange to have a crime scene cleaned up and painted?? Isn’t that usually the task of the property owner?

        • Retired Detective says:

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I recall Jason went to the house before it was cleaned to reenact his movements. Cohen was not there interestingly. I guess they just took Him at his word. The fingerprint dust was still on the railing on the stairs. In the video he touches the railing with his bare hands where he said he did on the night Lindsay was murdered. He kind of asked when he said there? And the detective confirmed he was correct. This took place I believe on Wednesday. That is pretty fast to allow a major suspect with his lawyer (Ziggy’s lawyer also BTW) access to the house without any gloves or booties. I guess they believed they had already collected all the evidence they needed by then. In my opinion I think that was premature but the Saanich police did a really poor job from the start of the investigation so I am not surprised. That tells us they were done processing the house for all eternity by Wednesday. I also do not understand why they needed Jason to reenact his movements in the house. What were they expecting to learn or were they looking for a reaction. He didn’t seem overly upset about revisiting the murder scene only a few days after he found his beloved stabbed to death. He seemed nervous in my opinion. They didn’t ask him why he ran upstairs first. It is clear he never asked Cohen if he saw Lindsay downstairs. He didn’t give him time to say anything.

People have suggested that the plan was to commit the murder upstairs because it was away from the street view. The family room has no windows, except for the patio doors that are covered by a patio fence. Why not just do it there? I think the theory that someone was hiding in the bathroom for a sneak attack makes is possible. The 2 sets of bloody footprints may have been a way to lead the police to believe there were only 2 people involved or at least the dumb SPD detectives. They only look at what is there and forget about the rest. There could have been others in the house who didn’t step in blood.

The second thing I Thought was weird was the walls in the house were repainted and the carpets were cleaned or replaced where there was blood before the police took the photos of the crime scene for public release. They staged the front entranceway with shoes and took a photo after the blood was cleaned up. In my whole career, This is a first for me. I do not know why they would release the photos of the interior of the house with the floor plan after it was cleaned and polished and staged just for public interest. Why release them at all? You have a guy in a hazmat suit with a camera in the reflection of the open patio glass doors. This was all staged. I just do not see the rational thinking behind the staged photos. Who does this and for what reason?

          • Just A Canadian Citizen says:

Exactly. The crime scene photos should be the photos that should have been taken when the cops arrived. Even famous people have the actual crime scene photos out there in the world for everyone to see (sick).

          • Svetlana says:

The Saanich police did a reenactment without Cohen Oatman? A murder just took place, a supposed serious investigation is being done, 2 witnesses have to do a very important reenactment BUT without one vital witness. How stupid and strange is that?

            • Retired Detective says:

Yes I thought that was really unusual. I know Cohen was not there because there were a lot of media Releases about everyone who was there as they arrived and left. It was very comprehensive. I believe they were looking for a reaction from Jason. His reaction was to be very nervous. I didn’t sense he was traumatized or grief stricken, just nervous. He did confirm that he didn’t wait for Cohen to say anything and just ran up the stairs calling for Lindsay in the direction of upstairs. At that time he assuming mysteriously that she was upstairs and has never explained why he believed that.

      • Just A Canadian Citizen says:

This whole thing is just a cover up for the corruption in Saanich BC and maybe all of BC. What makes me ill is there is no one that is willing to help this family?

    • Jeff Buziak says:

Yes it is true I was told that first hand. On the stairs.

Very impressive and very fitting, I must admit, for the messy situation of the Unsolved Murder of Lindsay Buziak Feb 2, 2008 file you have inherited as Chair of the Police Board and Mayor of Saanich. Now, please don’t go blurting out you can’t get involved in the work of the police. They are no different than Sanitation, Parks, Roads or any other department at Saanich that is failing, they need attention and assistance or reorganization. If any of the many departments in Saanich failed to complete their duties and put the Corporation of Saanich and/or its citizens at risk I’m sure it would be given a high priority to resolve.

Well Mr Mayor, there was a murder on your streets of a wonderful young woman while at work nearing 12 years ago now that is unsolved. The killers are freely roaming your streets and your Department of Police are doing nothing about it of any significance. This certainly should have been dealt with swiftly, efficiently and without delay; not calculated in years sir. All your Department of Police have accomplished on this task have been pay raises, promotions, retirements, creative excuses, blaming, explanations, threats and publicly clearing of main suspects. The citizens of Saanich are at risk; their lives are at stake! Killers are loose!

Mayor Haynes, I see from your credentials you claim you are very effective, you produce win-win solutions, you are an energetic problem solver, you have done decades of community service, you are a former teacher, you have the highest degree formal education provides so you undoubtedly are very smart and disciplined and finally you are a father. Sir, these are the qualities required to solve the conundrum your Police Department have been facing with attempting to resolve the unsolved murder of Lindsay Buziak and make your community safe once again. They just can’t do it! Mayor Haynes they are failing badly and need your assistance, direction and leadership skills you claim to have to resolve this file. It is clear by the time that has passed since Feb 2, 2008 they are severely lacking in the skills you have that they desperately require. Their only strong points to this date are explanations and excuses why they have not done their duty to the citizens of Saanich. Lindsay Buziak was born, raised, educated and murdered in Saanich sir.

Sir, father to father, and for God’s sake please, as head of Saanich Municipality, do something about this problem you have inherited because your police department are obviously not capable.

Mayor Haynes, the murder of my daughter Lindsay Buziak has drawn international attention and has been presented on a world stage. NBC Dateline, Crime Watch Daily, Discovery ID and Dr Phil. That exposure is not stopping and will continue with new projects in the works until there are arrests. It is clear your police department has exhausted their strategies of stalling, balking, defending, secrecy, defensiveness and silence to protect what little reputation they have besides probably in name only now. They just don’t know how to do the job they have a mandate to do! Its way beyond time something is done here before Saanich is humiliated further worldwide and known as a murder free zone with useless police. You are new as leader Mayor and do you want to be known as “The Mayor Who Doesn’t Care” or do you want to live up to and even exceed your reputation which is clearly stated above which includes energetic problem solver? You have a major problem here Mayor Haynes and ignoring it won’t make it go away. Please prove yourself and go assist your Police Department as they are really lost and lacking the leadership, knowledge, know-how and other abilities you possess. The world is watching sir.

    Sincerely
Jeff Buziak, father of Lindsay Buziak (murdered)

PLEASE EMAIL, WRITE, PHONE THESE PEOPLE AND DEMAND ACTION IN LINDSAYS UNSOLVED MURDER. These people are all public servants and work for the people and need to respond and be accountable to the people. If you live in their riding please visit their office and make an appointment to speak with them as your riding representative. Please demand answers and don’t let them brush you off or give you excuses why they can’t do anything. THEY CAN. They can at the very least make a call or write an email.
Saanich police officers Scott Green, Steve Morgan and Chris Horsley can get off their asses, get to work and do their job which is long overdue. They are failing right now. The rest can hold them accountable. That’s the way it is supposed to work. It’s called the law and I think they have all forgot what that is and means. They are supposed to be in charge. Please let’s remind them.

Retired Detective. If we accept your theories regarding what happened at the time of murder, then your comment absolves the Jason and his relatives.
The “cloven hoofs”of bloody prints leading from the actual murder place to the front exit door is directly absolving Jason as he was watching these people exiting from the door and then retreating into the house.(after all,you are accepting Jason’s admissions to SPD.)
Instead of Jason being implicated in the murder, the “cloven hoofs” of blood prints leads us to the direct sense of hatred and need of seething revenge that lead somebody close to Lindsay to her murder.
Who are these two people that felt they need to end the life of Lindsay to revenge their sick mental creations?
I tried to present some opinions about this previously in this blog but it was widely rejected.
Perhaps,it is time to pursue this again. What are we going to lose if we do?

    • Retired Detective says:

Jason did not commit the act of murder. That is pretty evident but He likely participated in the murder conspiracy. That makes him just as guilty. The actual killers were likely the 2 people who were seen outside the house by the neighbor and leaving through the front door by Jason. There were bloody footprints found from only 2 people, a man and a woman in stockings. We have no solid evidence of who they were or if Lindsay knew either one of them although we can’t rule out that she may have known one of them. These are not my opinions. I am just repeating information given freely to the media or to the ex-cop wanna-be writer. The Saanich police have changed the story an extraordinary amount of times in the media so We have no proof any of this is true unless the file is released. Since the case is not considered cold after all these years and the SPD has admitted since 2010 on DateLine that they have nothing and are waiting for someone to come forward, I don’t feel they are justified in claiming it is an active investigation. Call it what it has been for 10 years now, COLD! My question is, why are legal entities protecting the Zailos? Maybe the Zailos have become police informants in a deal with law enforcement. Didn’t Ziggy get busted in Shirley’s house? That is the only speculation that would explain the outcome here.

      • see closely says:

Retired detective.SPD can’t admit publicly that they have no clues regarding this case if the next level of Canadian Justice.-British Columbia, AG Prosecution office, reject their investigation.I may be wrong but in such a case Police (SPD,actual investigation team)are not allowed to present their case to the public.
This may be interpreted by general public as a “cover-up” by SPD.

        • Jeff Buziak says:

Okay, you need to understand here right now, The Crown Prosecutors Office told me directly there is no file on Lindsay’s case at their office and nothing has ever been submitted. What don’t you understand about that?

        • Justice says:

More jibberish folks. How many times do we need to tell this gal that it has been confirmed the case was never presented to anyone by the SPD. They also have publicly stated that they have nothing and are waiting for a confession. Please open you your eyes see Closley and read this. Enough jibberish.

      • ConnectTheDots says:

I suspect that the whole story, I saw I think two people through the smokey glass and then later embellished on by Horsley, he saw them come out the front door and turn around upon seeing him (Jason) and go back inside the house, was a ruse from the get go to draw attention away from the planned out and real escape route, the back door and all of the possible implications of that. Like you said, so many different stories. That is exactly what happens when people are lying through their teeth. You have to “fix” the story as you go along. Crazy. Probably thought at the last minute that Jason wasn’t clear enough in their story that the culprits were planning on exiting from the front door and NOT the back door. There is no way that this case should not be declared a cold case. Absolutely no logical reason for it.

Can’t the RCMP anything? It will never be solved left up to the Saanich Police…period

  27. Wyatt says:

    GAWD… 🤮🤮🤮
Anything out of that cocaine-infected brain is nauseating. Could someone put us out of our misery and eliminate this goof? Him and dirty-crooked-chief Greeny give all good cops a bad rap. There’s a lot to be said for vigilantism when the coppers are dirty and unable to secure the safety and justice for the community. No trust in dirty cops, only fix is to eradicate.

  28. Svetlana says:

Words from Detective Horsley on Crimewatch from 2 1/2 years ago. Shocking to me.

Criticism about it not being solved is completely warranted.
We’ve not just spent resources. At one point in time we had up to 40 people working on this investigation. We spent MILLIONS of dollars, as well. But at the end of the day, it’s still not solved, so the criticism is valid.

We do know from the forensic evidence that both the man and the female did go through the home. We do have evidence of them leaving the home. However, we don’t have anything in the form of DNA or fingerprints which would lead to a suspect identification.

Host asks: Is this technically a cold case?
“NO, not at all. This case is still assigned. We still have detectives that follow up tasks and leads. We had some media coverage just recently which resulted in more tips coming in.”

    • ConnectTheDots says:

” We do know from the forensic evidence that both the man and the female did go through the home. We do have evidence of them leaving the home. However, we don’t have anything in the form of DNA or fingerprints which would lead to a suspect identification. ”

Is it just me or is anybody else’s BS meter going off here? What do you mean you have forensic evidence that shows that both the man and woman did go through the house and evidence of them leaving the house but you do not have anything in the form of DNA or finger prints? WTF? What kind of forensic evidence do you have??? Please explain this to me.

      • Retired Detective says:

The killers left bloody sock and stocking footprints from upstairs to the front door where they likely put on their shoes. The police know their shoe sizes and have foot prints of poor quality. The police have to way to prove how the killers left the house. Jason saw them walking out the front door so that is likely the original plan. When he moved his car to the street, they might have returned to the front door or used the patio door. There is no way to know for sure.

If the killers were wearing leather gloves like OJ did, and didn’t cut themselves, there is no reason to expect they left a significant amount of DNA for 2008. There is something called touch DNA that can be detected today. The police said Lindsay was disabled from behind and showed no signs of a struggle. If she was attacked from the front, she would have been able to fight back, there may have been some DNA or fiber or hair evidence from the killers left behind. It is also unusual that the person using the knife did not cut themselves during the attack. Blood gets on the hands during an attack causing the knife to slip.

Because the planning took into consideration these things, I believe someone in law enforcement helped plan this murder.

        • Just A Canadian Citizen says:

Retired Detective, I have never read there were bloody sock and stocking footprints in the house. How do you know this information?

      • Wyatt says:

Yup, my BS meter has lost its needle! 💩💩
DNA analysis has come a long way in 12 years and I suspect whatever DNA they may have collected in 2008 it has either mysteriously “disappeared” or degraded/ destroyed to render useless at this stage. Apparently Desousa’s murder mansion was thoroughly cleaned before Lindsay’s killing, I would say that’s a pristine environment for collecting evidence as the only evidence there would be from the killers and conspirators.
Unfortunately cocaine-Horsefly and his ogres have had 12 years to tamper with evidence and I’m going out on a limb here, but my instincts tell me he’s done just that, yet another avenue to ensure his coverup and dirty-cop-practice goes unchecked. Only serves to support vigilantism. It would be great karma to witness the “disappearance” of Horsefly, Jason, Ryan and mommy-dearest. People go missing everyday…. never to be found. 🧐
I have almost zero faith in this criminal system of Canada and I am very reserved for the day that Lindsay gets some level of “justice” when charges are brought to the killers. The process and outcome will not provide the required justice, only vengeance will be her peace.
        Here’s to an-eye-for-an-eye …. 🤜✊🤛👊

        • Justice says:

          Wyatt,
Don’t let your anger drive you to become one of them. We can put pressure on Law Enforcement by writing letters and pointing out the flaws in Chris Horsley’s clown investigation and the Zailo’s bull shit stories. I think your intentions are good but violence is not the answer.

          • Wyatt says:

I’ll never be “one of them” it’s not my character to be violent, unless of course my life depends on it. There is a big difference between actus-reyes and mens-reyes. I wish I had the courage, knowledge and gumption for vengeance, but I do not, I wish hard for karma. I’m also acutely aware that Canadian Justice (I refer to it as Criminal Justice) is not anything close to justice. I truly believe any substantial evidence in Lindsay’s case has been compromised &/or tampered with and will be a huge factor if/when anyone is charged with her murder. All the writing in the world won’t change that outcome.

          • Svetlana says:

There’s obviously a cover up going on at that police office and Zailo is a big fat ugly liar. He parked his car away from the front of the house so that the murderers can get away. Wimpy Oatman didn’t ask why? I really don’t understand how people can do business with the whole bunch.

            • Justice says:

Maybe they don’t have clients unless the clients are running an illegal drug trade and need to launder money through real estate and mortgages or working for the SPD. Did you ever think of that? Did you know that money laundering is running the real estate business in BC? I doubt the public has forgotten so yes that is a good question, who are their clients Svetlana?

              • Rosanne Day says:

I live on the Island and until Dr.Phil what I knew was the Zailos were cleared by the police. (that used to mean something) Her father showed up every year for a walk to keep the murder in the news. PERIOD. Mr. Oatman came highly recommended by a co- worker of my son. When the bank tried to screw him around on his purchase of his first house. They turned him down and then tried calling him back to tell him he could be approved for a bit more interest on the loan. If you have ever bought a house you know it is a very stressful time and professional help is a godsend. My son was already on the phone with Mr. Oatman when the bank started calling back. He was upset and a very nice, no-nonsense guy he worked with told him to call Mr. Oatman. He was extremely professional and assured my son that he would help him and he had nothing to worry about. He did his job well and when it came time for us to get a mortgage we called him as well. I had no problem with him. Everything was handled professionally and easy. We had to make a change to one meeting because something happened to Mr. Oatman’s young son and he had to go and be by his side. I would use him as a mortgage broker again. Then I saw Dr. Phil and looked into this more. I was shocked to read that he works for a Zialo firm. I still can not find any fact that shows that Mr. Oatman was anything but used because he is a good person.

                • Justice says:

Just wondering why the SPD didn’t ask him to join in on the re-enactment. Was it all just for a Zailo show so we would all see Jason cooperating so nicely. If it was legit, why didn’t they have Cohen there. This is not about Cohen but why would he work for the Zailos???

                  • Rosanne Day says:

I am thinking it may be just like I did business with them through I didn’t know any better.

                  • ConnectTheDots says:

I’m sure he knows of the role he was duped into playing and most likely felt he had to cooperate with the Zailos going forward for the safety of himself and his family and also I’m sure there have been other “benefits”. Like his job. I don’t think he was in real estate at the time of the murder. Jeff, do you know what Oatman was doing for a living at the time of Lindsay’s murder?

                    • Svetlana says:

                    • Justice says:

There are many things Oatman could do besides work for Jason if he chose to. He is not the victim here. He now works for Jason. That says a lot about who he is.

        • cwick says:

          heres 3 names for ya:
RIANNE GRACIA – refuses to cooperate/take lie detector test

LEOPOLDO FERNANDO ROJO BELTRAN – man at house in suit

    • see closely says:

Svetlana,Is it possible that prosecution rejected SPD’s report about this case for some reason-apart from truly reasonable SPD report?
By the way,I sent a request to Freedom of Information department(BC) asking them to investigate whether AG prosecution office of BC did get a report from SPD asking to charge somebody in this murder.
Right now,it is still being in operation, as I was informed about.
So,lets hope that it will help this case to be solved in public. We all want that, right?
